I'm ashamed to be daughter of a nation that watch barbaric crimes being commited, already knowing that nothing's going to change because of that.. No human rights for the innocent, just for the guilty.
Ashamed to be part of those who are governed by corruption..
Tired of living here.. But I just can't avoid it.. I'll always be brazilian, even if I could live in any other part of the world.. I'll be always ashamed to be brazilian..
I heard that now they're stealing hair, yes, from our heads, can you believe that? You can't go out with your hair showing..
Madness..
EDITED:
I listened to this song right after submiting this entry, and I think the lyrics represent much of what I'm feeling about the recent happenings in this country:
"When, when will the icicle melt,
The icicle, icicle?
And when, when will the picture show end,
The picture show, picture show?
I should not have read the paper today,
'Cause a child, child, child, child he was taken away.
There's a place for the baby that died,
And there's time for the mother who cried.
And she will hold him in her arms sometime,
'Cause nine months is too long, too long, too long...
How, how could you hurt the child,
How could you hurt the child?
Now, does this make you satisfied,
Satisfied, satisfied?
I don't know what's happ'ning to people today,
When a child, child, child, child, he was taken away.
There's a place for the baby that died,
And there's time for the mother who cried.
And she will hold him in her arms sometime,
'Cause nine months is too long, too long, too long...

Talvez se nos mudássemos para um lugar bem longe daqui.. mas ainda nos sentiríamos mal por saber que o restante do país ainda sofre.. ao menos eu me sentiria..

I always begin to love my country when I read stuff like that ...
But 20 years ago, it was also hard (due to the communist regime) for men to survive with long hair here ... communists created special term "mánička" for such unwanted hippies... If you wanted some serious job, without cut it was impossible...
